This and the previous two stages have similar river character. See Stage 16 for some commentary about the river and features. Note that we pushed along in relatively fast boats. If you are planning a gentle, relaxed paddle, allow for an extra hour or more on the water.
Access:
The entry point is at Breens, off the end of Rathbornes Road. There is no easy access to the edge of the water at Breens, i.e. no point bar beach or boat ramp.
The exit point can be accessed from the end of Frasers Road. Enter the gate on the right hand side at the end of the road reserve. Drive along the top of the levee before turning down left onto the floodplain. Continue and turn left again and follow the track to the point bar beach.

Mapped distance 23.4 km, from Breens (Chainage 461.5) to Frasers (Chainage 484.9) (Chainage is the distance downstream from the headwaters at Woods Point). However, we walked the kayak over a few neck cutoff rock chutes which shortened our paddle distance of 17.28 km.
